Dear friends,

For those who are not aware yet, Yong was granted a second stay of execution on 8 December 2009. The date for his appeal is set to be in March next year, and we’ll keep you updated on the details as we approach the date.

To keep Yong in everyone’s hearts and minds, we are launching an campaign called ‘This Christmas, Remember Yong’. The effort will involve an image-badge that bloggers and websites can feature between now and the New Year. Attached in this email is the image file, please feel free to put it up on your blogs, websites or even set it as your Facebook profile image. Please link the image to this article.

SADPC has just launched a new clemency petition for Yong, addressed to the President and the entire cabinet of Singapore. We hope that you will lend us your kind support by signing the online petition and forwarding the link to all your friends and family.

Here is the link to the petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/yongvuikong/

Best regards,
