Howard Zinn was one among those who have helped shaped my perspectives on many things relating to global issues and activism. It was a shock to hear about his passing but I am glad that a great man like him existed. Although I have never met him in person, his writings and speeches have nevertheless helped to open my mind and eyes to what lurks beneath the surface of so many events, incidents and injustice happening globally.

Do rest in peace, Mr. Howard Zinn. I thank you for all that you have done and the way your words and actions have shaped me as a person.
