Dear Alan, Ravi, Rachel and all friends in Singapore who oppose the death penalty and support freedom of expression,

All of us at Amnesty International Hong Kong salute your courage and commitment to defending human rights in Singapore.  The death penalty is irreversible, and is the ultimate cruel, inhumane and degrading form of punishment. The continuing imposition of the death penalty in Singapore is contrary to global trends towards abolition. Attempts to silence those who question the use of the death penalty will never succeed so long as there are brave individuals like you, who speak up for justice and human rights in Singapore.

Stay strong. You are in our thoughts.

Mabel Au Mei-po

Director, Amnesty International Hong Kong

Ravi, Rachel 及所有在新加坡反對死刑與支持表達自由的朋友,
